Wow, well it has been a very long time since our last update… looking back a fair bit happened.
Wow, ca fait un sacree moment depuis notre derniere mis-a-jour... maintenand que j'y pense un tas de trucs s'est passe
Since the last update, we drove back to the grandparents, that night, Kathy squashed her thumb in the car door while looking at some grass to wipe her shoes in to get the dog poo off… it was a very bad day for her…
Depuis la derniere mis-a-jour, nous sommes rentrees chez papi, mami, ce soir la, Kathy s'est coincee le pouce dans la portiere de la voiture car madame etait trop occupee a regarder le petit bout d'herbe ou elle pouvait peut etre essuyer la merde de chien qu'elle avait sur sa chaussure... ca a ete une tres mauvaise journee pour elle...
We spend a very short few days with them and off we went to Australia… which turned out to be the worst start to a holiday… EVER !!!
On a passe quelque jour tres court avec eux et hop nous voila parties pour l'Australie... un voyage qui a commence tres TRES MAL !!!
See, our train was 3hrs late to make it to the airport, therefor, we missed ALL our connection and everything… next flight available, 3 days away… YAY ! In total we spent €2000 fixing everything… All fun and games indeed.
Voyez, notre train est arrive avec 3h de retard a l'aeroport, donc, on a rate toutes nos connections... prochain vol dispo etait 3 jours plutard... COOL ! En tout, on a depense €2000 a tout reparer... Qu'est ce qu'on s'amuse nous des fois...
Anyway, we eventually made it to Oz, where we spend a very nice month with Kath's family. Mine was around too, so we played tourists and visited the amazing Dorigo Rain Forest:
Enfin, nous sommes eventuellement arrivees en Australie, ou nous avons passer un mois tres sympatique avec la famille a Kathy. Et comme la mienne etait aussi au rendez-vous, on a put jouer au touriste un petit peu et avons visite la Foret Tropical de Dorigo:

And down to Sydney for some fauna and flora…
Et jusqu'a Sydney pour un peu de faune et flore...
So yeah, gorgeous Aussie winter weather… nicer than France when we left it…
Et oui, un temp magnifique d'hiver australien... encore mieux que la France quand nous sommes parties...
We are back in France now, where we are preparing for our next and final leg, we'll have company this time as we will be followed by 2 old people in a big van (aka, my grandparents)… All the way to Gibraltar !
Nous sommes de retour en France maintenant, ou nous sommes entrain de nous preparer pour notre prochain et dernier voyage, on ne sera pas tout seule ce coup-ci, on sera suivi pas 2 petit vieux dans un gros fourgon (alias, papi mami)... Jusqu'a Gibraltar !
In the meanwhile we've been hired off as very cheap labour (aka, slaves or my preferred terminology, "volunteer workers") by my mother for some rather needed maintenance on her little dream chalet… :) We painted the whole thing and played with really high scaffolding... bit scary, but good laughs.
Entre temps, on a ete embauche comme main-d'oeuvre pas chere (alias, esclave ou ma terminologie preferee, "travail volontaire") par ma maman pour la maintenance necessaire du chalet de ses reves... :) On a tout re-peint et avons jouer avec un echafaudage assez haut... un peu peur des fois, mais on a bien rigole
