Virpazar (Montenegro) - Belgrade (Serbia)

10/03/11 - Day/Jour 281
We boarded yet another bus today from Kotor to Podgorica. We saw some amazing views along the way, it's a shame we couldn't just stop where we wanted to get some happy snaps.
Nous avons de nouveau pris un bus aujourd'hui pour aller de Kotor a Podgorica. Nous avons des paysages magnific en chemin, c'est domage qu'on ne pouvait pas s'arretter ou on voulais pour prendre des petites photos vite-fait.

  

We arrived to Podgorica, dropped our stuff at the hostel and got on another bus to Virpazar - a town that lies on Lake Skadar. We witnessed some of the most natural picturesque areas on the whole of our trip today. We managed to get sucked in by the locals to take a boat trip and see their little museum. Before we knew it we were up in their attic after doing a tour of their kitchen, family room, restaurant and guest rooms. We also saw them drying fish outside, smoking fish inside and drying ham and sausages.  Once we got on the boat we were actually quite happy all of this happened... :)
Une fois arriver a Podgorica, nous avons deposer nos affair dans notre auberges et avons pris un autre bus, direction Virpazar, une petite ville sur le Lac Skadar. Nous avons vu aujourd'hui, les paysages les plus naturel et pittoresque de tout notre voyage jusqu'a present. On a reussi a se faire "avoir" par un des gars du coin de faire un petit tour de bateau et de visiter leur petit musee. Et sans savoir se qui nous arrivait, on s'est retrouver dans leur grenier apres avoir visiter la cuisine, le salons, le restaurant et la chambre d'amis.  On les a egallement vu secher du poisson dehors, a l'interieur ils fumaient du poisson et fesait secher du jambon et des saucises. Mais bon une fois arriver sur le bateau, on etait bien contente que tout ca se soit passer... :)

 

We had amazing views of the surrounding mountains and bird life. Never have we seen so many birds. We even saw the Montenegro Alcatraz which is now home to many nesting birds.
On a eu des vues superbes des montagnes aux allentoures et des oiseaux. Jamais vu autant d'oiseaux de notre vie. On y a meme vu l'Alcatraz du Montenegro qui est maintenant le nis de beaucoup d'oiseaux.

    

To get the bus back to Podgorica we had to wait on a small strip of land between the main highway and the train track - a little scary to say the least... :)
Pour retourner a Podgorica, on a due attendre le bus sur le petit bout de terre entre la route principal et la voie ferrer, on peut dire que ca fesait un peu peur... :)



We then got back to the hostel and tryed the local cuisine, with everything written in Serbian on the menu we randomly chose something without knowing - we ended up getting liver, kebabs and chips... :)
Une fois de retour a l'auberge, nous avons essayer la cuisine locale, mais bon comme tout etait ecrit en Serbe, on a choisit au pif, on s'est retrouver avec des brochettes, du fois et des frittes... :)




11/03/11 - Day/Jour 282
Today we had a relaxing morning then caught the train to Belgrade. The train cut through mountains, a series of tunnels and bridges, was absolutely fantastic scenery. We arrived in at almost midnight - the train was only 2 hours late.
Ce matin c'etait un peu relax puis nous avons pris le train jusqu'a Belgrade. Le train traversait les montagnes, tunnels apres pont apres tunnels, des paysages magnific. Nous sommes arriver juste avant minuit, le train n'avait que 2 heures de retards.

  

12/03/11 - Day/Jour 283
We wandered around Belgrade today, checked out the world's largest Orthodox Church - which is still under construction and the Nikola Tesla Museum. We were treated to a guided tour of Tesla's creations and that is where I got to play Jedi with the Tesla Coil - Karine wants one. We also got see lightning in the making and various other inventions.
Nous nous sommes ballader dans elgrade aujourd'hui, nous avons visiter la plus grande eglise Orthodox du monde, qui est toujours en construcions. Et nous avons egalement visiter le musee de Nikola Tesla. On a eu droit a un tour guider des creations de Tesla, Kathy a jouer au Jedi avec la Bobine de Tesla (j'en veux une... :). On a aussi vu des eclaires en fabrication et diverses autre inventions. 

  

We went out for lunch in the Bohemian quarter where we had a meat platter for two (without liver).
Nous sommes ensuite aller dejeuner dans le quartier Bohemiens ou nous avons pris un plat de viande a partager pour deux (sans foie)

 

Afterwards we wandered to Kalmegdan Fortress where there were swarms of people as it was a gorgeous sunny day.
Apres cela, nous sommes allees a la Forteress Kalmegdan ou nous avons beaucoups de gens vu qu'il fesait si beau. 

 

The city has a good vibe to it and we feel so rich using the Dinar currency, my pocket was so not heavy with 10000 dinar in it, contrary to how it sounds.
La ville a une bonne ambience et on avait l'impression d'etre riche en utilisant les Dinara, mais bon pas tant que ca malgre les 10000 Dinar que j'avais dans la poche, contrairement a ce que l'on peut croire.
