05/03/11 - Day/Jour 276
This morning we had a nice sleep in, cooked breakfast and headed into the city centre. First stop was up the funicular to the Old Town where we were just on time to hear the daily firing of the cannon from Lotrscak Tower.
Ce matin nous avons fait la grasse mat, apres un bon petit dej, nous sommes allees au centre ville. Premiere arret etait de prendre le Funiculaire jusqu'a la Vielle Ville, ou nous sommes arriver juste a temps pour entendre le coup de canon quotidien de la Tour Lotrscak.
We then checked out the very pretty tiled roof of the St Mark's Church. We wandered around the area and soon found our way back downhill where we checked out numerous buildings, a fruit and vegetable market and more...
Nous avons ensuite vu les belles tuile de l'Eglise St Mark's. Puis nous avons errer autour de la Vielle Ville et avons vite retrouver notre chemin vers le bas de la colline ou nous avons vu plein de beau batiments, un marche de fruits et legumes et plus encore...
By about 4pm we had seen everything and found ourselves waiting for the 9:24pm train for quite some time. We went to McDonald's, where else could you waste 2-3 hours and be warm. We also went out for some pizza as food is so cheap in Croatia, 2 large pizzas for less than €10 for the 2 of them... tis ok... :) Finally we boarded the night train to Sarajevo.
Vers 16h, nous avions vu pratiquement tout et nous nous sommes retrouver a attendre le train de 21h24, pendant un sacre moment. Nous sommes aller au MacDo, le seul endroit chaud ou on pouvait passer 2, 3h sans se faire virer. Nous sommes aller au resto vu que la nouriture en Croatie est si peu chere, 2 grosse pizza pour moins de €10 les 2... ca va.... :) Enfin, nous sommes monter a bord du train de nuit jusqu'a Sarajevo.

We arrived in Sarajevo after an on and off sleep at around 7am. We then caught a tram to our hostel where we dropped off our bags and headed out to see the sights in -2 degree weather.
Nous sommes arrivees a Sarajevo vers 7h apres avoir plus ou moins bien dormit. On a pris le tramway vers notre auberge ou on a laisser nos sac-a-dos et somme repartit visiter la ville, -2 dehord.
We checked out the Turkish mosques and their minarets, water fountains and walked along the river. There were many touristy shops around the Turkish area including many copper crafts.
Nous avons vu les mosquees turques et leur minarets, des fontaines et avons marcher le long de la riviere. Il y avait beaucoup de magasins touristique dans la zone Turque, y compris beaucoups d'object artisanal en cuivre.
The toll that the war took on the city is still apparent with numerous buildings with bullet holes, houses in ruins and the aged public transport system, the city is under construction but still a nice place to visit.
L'impact que la guerre a eu sur la ville est encore apparent, il y a encore beaucoup de batiment avec des trous de balles, des maisons en ruine et un transport public tres age, la ville est sous construction, mais ca vaut quand meme le coup de la visiter.
