Vienna...

01/03/11 - Day/Jour 272
Today we departed from Baume Les Dames to commence our 31 day Interailing trip through eastern Europe. The plan is to visit 19 cities in 13 countries in 31 days with just what is in our 2 rucksacks. We had to take numerous connections in Belfort, Mulhouse, Basel and Zurich  to get to our first destination.
Aujourd'hui nous avons quitter Baume Les Dames pour commencer notre voyage en train de 31 jours a travers l'Europe de l'Est. On compte voyager 19 villes, 13 pays en 31 jours, juste avec ce qu'on a dans nos 2 sac a dos. On a due changer de train plusieures fois, a Belfort, Mulhouse et Zurich pour arriver a notre premiere destination.


 

Once we made it to Zurich it was a straight path to Vienna. We managed to get our own private seating apartment which we soon turned into two beds. After a few naps along the way and some really nice scenery we finally arrived in Vienna, all in all, it took about 13 hours. We cooked ourselves a quick meal and went straight to bed....exhausted.
Une fois arriver a Zurich, c'etait une ligne droite jusqu'a Vienne. On a reussi a avoir notre propre compartiment a nous toute seul e, qu'on a vite transformer en 2 lits. Apres quelque petite siestes ici et la, et apres avoir vu de tres beau paysage, nous sommes enfin arriver a Vienne, en tout, ca a pris environ 13 heures. On s'est fait un petit repas vite fait et direct au lit... completement crevees. 

  

02/03/11 - Day Jour 273
We visited Vienna today. Started off at Schonbrunn Palace - very grand and beautiful. We walked up to the palace's Glorietta Pavilion which looks over the city. On the way we came across some beautiful red and dark brown squirrels.
Aujourd'hui nous avons visiter Vienne. On a commencer par le Palais de Schonbrunn - tres grand et tres beau palais. Nous sommes montees jusqu'au Pavillion Glorietta qui domine toute la ville. En route, nous avons croiser de beau petit ecureuilles rouge at marron fonces.

   

We then went into the city centre where we walked our feet off. We saw many grand buildings, the number of them is neverending. We stopped for lunch and kept walking.
Nous somme ensuite aller au centre ville ou nous avons marcher jusqu'a peut plus. Nous y avons vu beaucoup de tres beau batiment, l'un apres l'autre... Nous avons fait une petite pause a midi, et sommes reparties.

 

We also checked out the Spittelau Thermal Power Plant just to see it's rather unique design... :)
Nous sommes egalement aller voir la Central Thermic de Spittelau, rien que pour voir son design quelque peu different... :)



We also have tickets to see an opera tomorrow night...la...di...dah... huh?
Ah oui, et on a acheter des tickets pour un opera demain soir... plutot prout-prout... :p
